How Can I Get Back Into It? Advice Please?

okay i've been training for track a lil while now.





like running and jogging and stuff like that.


but i've been busy and basically took the entire month of november off from training.


i recently started back jogging and walking


but when i run now it's like i'm slower.


or not performing like i used too.





my question how can i start back running great and have greater endurance like i used to?


and how long will it take?How Can I Get Back Into It? Advice Please?
you should run a mile. i had the same problem i jus ran a mile everyday and ran stadiums and steep hills. Also you should go to the ymca if you have one and swim that is great for cardio work.How Can I Get Back Into It? Advice Please?
It all depends on how much you used to run.





Don't immediately throw back a lot of miles if you're distance starting off again.





If you're a track runner, don't try and hit the high speeds you used to, keep a 70% speed and then pump it up a little higher every single time.





It will take a little bit before you get back into tip top shape if you took a whole month off. I'd estimate around 4 weeks with intensive training to get yourself back into shape. This would mean training every weekday and making sure to get some rest on the weekends and making sure to eat plenty of pastas and to get your body some protein.





It also would help to do other exercises like pushups and situps.





Above all though, STRETCH! If you pull something, you'll be out for a couple of days and it will slow you down again.
