m 20 %26amp; my girl friend is 29. i will turn 21 this dec. will the marriage be valid if we marry immediate. We cant wait till december as there is lot of pressure in my gf's family to get married somewhr else. Need a genuine advice. Legal experts advice also requested.Want to get married? dude you definitely need to be 21yrs complete for marriage. ';The bridegroom should have attained the age of 21 years and the bride should have attained the age of 18 years at the time of marriage.'; for the marriage to be valid as per the hindu marriage act. besides i would request you to look at your relationship with different perspective as there is quite an age gap considering the fact that your girl friend is elder. I do not want to repeat, but hasty decisions taken at this age may prove wrong so be careful and take guidance of your elders. all da best.Want to get married? I can understand the situation but the huge age diff: b/w u and her, especially you are just 20 (immatured) can cause problems.......





I am not saying that its a bad decision.........





Think and think and take a desicion, then love and protect her always.
Where do you live? I have never heard of having to be 21 years old to get married. You usually only have to be 18 to get married without your parents permission.
20 and 29 your old enough to do wat you want without asking permission
