Anyone got advice on removing hair on a tattoo?

I'm looking at getting a tattoo on the side of my stomach. I'm fairly hairy so i either shave or wax. Could that effect the tattoo? Things like the occasional ingrown hair. Could that scar it or something?

See what happens when your tattoo is healed, you may not need to do any hair removal. The artist will get rid of the hair for you when you are gunna get it done, so don't worry about that. but you never know it may look good even when the hair grows back, if not then shave it, its cheaper and works fine. Unless you get one narley ingrown hair you should be fine. Just make sure you if you shave you use good razors and shaving cream. Waxing you are more likely to break out specially cuz its more sensitive skin right there. Just make sure you wait to do anything until it is FULLY and COMPLETELY healed! After it heals, but before dont do ANYTHING close to waxing.
once/if your tattoo is COMPLETELY healed you can wax or shave, whichever you prefer.





(don't waste $$ on electrolysis--it takes several sessions and still may not result in any permanent hair removal. plus it is expensive and it is not painless lol)

as stated, when you get the tattoo done, the artist will remove the hair. you shouldnt wax or shave that area until the tattoo is fully healed. after your tattoo is healed, its basically just like normal skin so you'll be fine to keep shaving or waxing but make sure you moisturise the area so the tattoo doesnt become dried out
