Where is the best place to park?should I drive into manhattan and take subway? what are some good places to eat near stadium? please helpNeed advice on best way to get to yankee stadium from north jersey on sunday night 6th of july vs red sox?
If you drive into Manhattan you may find free on street parking. I suggest on the east side. Try the area around Grand Central. Lexington Ave, Park Ave, Third Ave, below Forty Second Street. Above the deuce, look a little further east.. From Grand Central you need the uptown (north or Bronx bound) #4 train. Less than thirty minutes to the Stadium. (161st. st,) Local stops are at 33d, 51st, 68th and 77th. The uptown #6 follows the same route, but you must change at 125th st. and cross the platform for the #4. You can also pick up the #4 at 59th and 86th st.'s.
By the way, The #4 is bound for Woodlawn- Jerome. Do not take the train going to Dyre ave. or 180th street.
Eating by the Stadium? The only place I know is the Yankee Tavern on 161st, I think one block up from the stadium. Standard Bar room fare, but the place is a legend.Need advice on best way to get to yankee stadium from north jersey on sunday night 6th of july vs red sox?
Might as well just drive to the Stadium, because parking in Manhattan will be even more expensive plus the pain in the *** associated with taking the subway.
Take the George Washington Bridge to the Major Deegan south, and it's a couple miles down the road. Get there early and you should have no trouble finding parking within a couple blocks of the Stadium.
As for food, I like Italian so I usually go to Roberto's on Arthur Avenue, or Frankie and Johnny's on Bronxdale Av. when I'm up in the Bronx, but they aren't exactly that close to the Stadium. Worth the trip though if you like a good red sauce.
You could drive there and park in the parking garage right near there or you could drive to Manhattan and take the Subway. I am going to the game on July 8 when they play the Tampa Bay Rays, and I think I'll do the subway.
Don't park near the ball park. When I go to Fenway, we park near the T.D banknorth gardens and take the trains. It might work for NYC to but if yo do park near the park get there really early.
drive to manhatten and take the subway to the ballpark
