Do you get paid if someone joins the branch of military your in because of your advice?

I heard this awhile ago for army but i would like to know if its true. I heard it was like 2 grand if someone tells the recruiter that you talked them into joining...Do you get paid if someone joins the branch of military your in because of your advice?
You have to sign up in the program to get the money. You don't get any money just for them talking to a recruiter.





The $2,000 Referral Bonus will be payable in two lump sums as follows for referrals submitted on or after Nov. 13, 2006:





$1,000 will be paid to the eligible sponsor once the Soldier (referral) has commenced Basic Training. Payment requests will be sent to DFAS upon verification that the Soldier is in fact in Basic Training using the Army Training Requirements and Resources System (ATRRS). Payment should be received within 45 work days of request submission.





$1,000 will be paid to the eligible sponsor once the Soldier (referral) has completed and graduated from One Station Unit Training (OSUT) or Advanced Individual Training (AIT). Payment requests will be sent to the Defense Finance %26amp; Accounting Service (DFAS) upon verification that the Soldier has completed and graduated from OSUT or AIT using ATRRS. Yeup... but they have to make sure they tell the recruiter.
