My husband and I need pregnancy advice on how to get pregnant!?

My husband and I have been trying to get pregnant for the past yr. and Im still not?! Help me PLEASE!My husband and I need pregnancy advice on how to get pregnant!?
How's Your Fertility?

Without ovulation, it is impossible to get pregnant, because the eggs stay tucked away in the ovary and can never meet up with an amorous sperm.

Without viable sperm, the whole baby thing will never get off the ground, so if you know when you鈥檙e fertile and ovulating and you鈥檙e making love at those times but aren鈥檛 getting any babies out of the deal, you may want to drive your sweetheart over to the urologist for a sperm count. Like women, men鈥檚 fertility can be affected by stress, fatigue, excessive heat, drugs and illness.

The NIEHS study found that, if intercourse occurs up to two days before or on the day of ovulation, the likelihood of pregnancy is 36%. Having sex between four and six days before ovulation lowers the statistical chance of getting pregnant to 10%. Sperm cells can live up to five days, but it less likely that old sperm will successfully fertilize the egg.My husband and I need pregnancy advice on how to get pregnant!?
I would call your doc. They will run tests and make sure that you are ovulating and they can check your egg count, etc. They might recommend that you go see an RE since you have been trying for over a year with no sucess.

Good luck.
i guess we are not the only one we have been trying now for a year an a half an still nothing i went till the docs an they told me it will take time i even had a scan done to make sure everything is ok. i hope it happens soon for you. good luck an dont give up.
Since it has been a year, you both should go and get checked to make sure both are OK and can have kids.

His swimmers might not be good or else your eggs might not be. It's best to get that out of the way first before doing anything else.

If his swimmers aren't good, then you might want to do in-fertilization where they will find some sperm that he has that are good and implant them in your egg and then into you.

Hope you don't have to do that.

Stats say that it takes the average women 6 months to get pregnant. But women are all different.

If you don't want to take big measures, then all you can do is just keep trying.

Have sex every other day. That is your best bet in getting pregnant and having sperm in you when you ovulate.

Sometimes we think we ovulate on a certain day but in reality we don't.

I wish you luck.
You must both discuss this with your doctor. There are tests that can be performed by both of you to ensure you are fertile.

The harder you try the more likely you are to remove an intimate time to checking the clock for a date with sex. That doesn't help and adds to the stress factor.

If you were on the pill for a long time your body may still be adjusting and it could take 2 years.
I have been ttc for 13 months. I would suggest going to your doctor. Your doctor will do some tests to determine what, if anything is wrong. If you are not getting a regular period and/or ovulating, there is medication your doctor can give you to help.

I would suggest keeping a calendar and writing down the dates you get your period, you ovulate and you baby dance. This will help the doctor know what is going on with your body. You should also buy ovulation predictor kits to know exactly when you are ovulating. I like the digital opks, since they are easy to read. No guessing whether one line is darker than the other. With the digital opk, a smiley face shows up if you are ovulating and an empty circle if you are not.

You can also buy a fertility monitor. They are expensive but worth it. I use the clear blue easy fertility monitor. After awhile it gets to know your body. It will let you know when you are going to ovulate and when you are ovulating.

Some people also check their body temperatures, but I have never done that.

Good luck and lots of baby dust to you!
well I see I'm not alone me and my husband been trying for the past yr. as well, I'm going to ck out some of ur answ. and see what info. others give. don't give up.

GOOD LUCK!
Go to the doctor - most doctors will start testing and treatment after one year of trying. Ask for infertility testing (thyroid, hormone levels, sperm analysis, etc). There are also some procedures that work for many women - such as an HSG (dye test).

You can also start tracking your basal body temp (check out fertiltyfriend.com for info). You can also try using ovulation predictor kits (sold by pregnancy tests in any store). Only about 20% of couples get pregnant in any one month of trying.

You can also check out the message boards at BabyCenter.com for support and advice from others in your same situation.

Good luck!
ok you have three options

1) get fertility drugs from the doctor

2)check your temp every day in the morning and when your temp drops ';do it' cuz your fertal

3)check your discharge (gross but nessassary)

if it streches far and is sorta sticky your fertal

good luck
