I am a 17 year old girl that wants to get ready for the real world.I have been told on several occasion that i have a a really bad attitude.But i been thinking lately that i really want to change my negative attitude.My mom tells me i have little patience.So i would like to know what are some ways i can gain patience??Also how can i change my negative attitude into a positive one??Thank you to all that answer this %26amp; have a wonderful dayCan I please Get Some Serious Advice Please?
you know, it might sound like a cliche but self-help books can help ease a bit of the problem.
secondly, its the age factor. you're just riding out a pahse. am 24 now, by the time u reach there, perspectives and attitudes change.

Hmmm... I know that when your mom tells you you have a bad attitude, at that moment it only makes things worse. I would suggest that you stop telling your self that you have a bad attitude. You might try telling yourself instead that you know that your attitude could be better and ask youself what can you do at this time to improve it. Don't be hard on yourself. It has nothing to do with being a teenager and everything to do with being human. All of us get this way sometimes. I'm sure you love your mom and she loves you. When you are around her tell yourself in your mind that you want to be nice to your mom and be patient with her because you love her and it makes you feel better to treat her good. It will help.
positive attitudes generally come from the golden rule. if you want ppl to have a positive attitude about you, have one for them. so you can build patience, count to ten (slowly) when you feel like you are gonna snap at someone. also remember that its okay to take ur time and just relax.
faith can help u have more of a possitive attitude, if you believe in a religion, but you havent been practicing it, try to do so more. it can often give you a better perpective of life and other people.

Its Very Simple... Change The Way you think..
Empathy.. Think ( I Want to be Treated Respectfully and With patience... So After You think Like that... Try To Pretend you are the other person.. and Think If (you) are being Rude and Impatient.. how would it make you Feel. Mad i guess.
You have to have Empathy on others who treat you nice.
Its sometimes hard.. believe. me i am like that too.. But its not anyone Else's fault that you are not having a good day...

Well I use t o be the same way! Look at things in a positive way. Like for example: There's a bday party and you wanted to go, but you also have a big test on Monday. Well its a saturday but your grounded well the positive side is you will have more time to study. Something like that.
