Anybody know where I can go online or email an attorney with some questions and get advice, hopfully free without charge,m maybe just an online attorney that helps answer questions or an website that has FAQ for attorneys?? PLEASE HELP!!Where/Who Can I get attorney advice?
The easiest thing would be to formulate your questions and phone attorneys, looking through yellow pages, to ones who give free consultation. There are attorneys who also give free face to face consultation. However, you must not make up your mind under the influence of the rhetoric of any attorney in his or her office. Then phone the Bar in your state to find out the record of the attorneys who appear to be suitable to your case. There is very valuable information available from the Bar, to help you decide and keep fast talkers off your case. Finally, ask other professionals if they have heard of the ones you may be leaning to hire. There are no good attorneys only as good as you can make them work. Keep a record of time spent on phone or in office, even with the so called secretary, as all time is chargeable. Good Luck. Try not to get impressed before the result. It would be a business relationship and there is no need to get carried away.Where/Who Can I get attorney advice?
Contact law schools in your area. Most have programs where the third year students will provide free legal advice.
Also, some counties have free, but limited, legal services.
